You’re Not a Wimp if You Quit!!   Leave a comment

Look trust me on this, it is not at all ‘wimpish’ if you choose to quit your career because its making you totally miserable!

Ok you may have to consider your financial perspective, but I defy anyone to tell me that money is more important than their health and sanity.

Realise that not only are you miserable, but you are probably affecting your colleagues and peers too! Why not start planning and make you move, there has to be either another more suitable position, or is it natures way to push you in the direction of your dreams and get that small business up and running, you know the one you always dreamed of!

It was some 10 years ago that I too faced this dilemma. I hated my job, no longer had a passion for travelling the UK motorway network to flog stationery products and buy catalogue advertising space from my customers. I longed for freedom, a total change and the escape from the daily drudgery of key account management, worse still all the pressure began to affect my health and eventually I had to decide whether to jump ship and start a new path into new territory.

Fortunately for me I am very glad I did, even though there were some scary moments and a few sleepless nights wondering if I made the right decision. Looking back now ,ok I made some mistakes, but it has been one of the best decisions I made. I began a whole new  way of thinking, discovered more of my talents, strengths, and skills and learned that with a new mindset, flexibility and renewed passion, work could feel like play once more. isn’t it time you did too?
